Removing a Smell From Tupperware
There are times that no matter how hard you try your Tupperware can absorb smells from food. So I have figured out a few tips & tricks to get those nasty smells out of your favorite dish.
To prevent your containers from absorbing some strong scented food then it is important that you wash your Tupperware as soon as you can after removing the food. Use hot water and dish soap. I prefer the blue Dawn, because it will also help with any stains as well, but that’s another post. Work it up into a soapy lather and rinse, then you can wash it in the dishwasher on the top rack or finish hand-washing it as you normally would. When storing your Tupperware make sure that you do not close the seals all the way. I would recommend storing your seal, aka lids, together, and your bowls together so that you can keep track of where everything is, but also keep your Tupperware in it’s best condition. Another tip is to make sure you wash your container once every three months with hot soapy water to make sure that you are keeping your Tupperware in the best condition you can.
